I have visited other sharpening websites and the first picture on the page is a $350,000 laser guided CNC sharpening monster in a big fancy shop...I don't have one of those. What I do have is a cluttered little shop full of older Foley Belsaw big sharpening machines and an enclosed trailer for the smaller ones. I am not ashamed of that and I will explain why. Just like every other page on this site, or when a customer stops by the sawmill/sharpening shop, I don't make a big production about my work. I just provide my services like I would want to be dealt with, quality work at a fair price. The price list for some of the work I do is on the right of this page, it will enlarge for a closer look if you click it. This list is a sample of commonly sharpened items, I can sharpen anything, feel free to contact me with any other sharpening needs you may have.

I currently accept mail in sharpening. I will try to explain how that works. You package and ship your tools to me with a check for return shipping (whatever it cost you, send that amount) and for the work to be done from the price list on this page. Feel free to call or email me for an exact figure for sharpening work if you have any questions. I can most often sharpen and reship in 48 hours. I will contact anyone if there would be an unexpected delay.

I have a 100% guarantee on my workmanship. If it does not suit you I refund your money, simple as that. With such a guarantee I have the option to not work on a tool that has lived a full life. I do good work, but not miracles. For example if you send a box of tools and one of them is not repairable for some reason, I will sharpen the tools that can be and send them all back with a refund for the one that needs retired.

| I have the power tools to sharpen all the tools listed and more. But I still prefer to file all handsaws manually. I also am no stranger to the wet stone either, on the side of this page at the bottom is a link to a video of some of my freehand razor sharpening. | |
One last note, please be careful when packaging your tools for shipping. I will repack them well for a safe return trip, but cannot be responsible for tools that arrive here damaged. It will just take a couple extra minutes on both ends to insure a problem free round trip. Below are my shipping addresses.
